Transit Planning Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned transit planning professional to lead our growing northeast practice. As Regional Transit Planning Practice Leader, you will be responsible for collaborating with our team to identify market opportunities, developing and implementing strategic plans, and contributing to the technical development of our staff.

  • Key responsibilities include identifying global and local needs within the practice, industry trends, required skills, and emerging markets in order to develop and advance a practice group strategy.
  • You will coordinate within each region to identify market drivers and develop products to meet client needs.
  • Presentation of regional transit planning activities and needs on regular Transit Planning Practice Group calls is also a requirement.
  • You will contribute to the technical development of transit planning staff in all areas of transit planning, including policy, systems/network planning, corridor planning and development, operations and safety, funding, and associated aspects of all transit modes.
  • Your role involves identifying industry talent and working with Area and Corporate leadership to attract and retain transit planning staff.
  • Effective workshare communications that result in technical excellence and enhanced utilizations are expected.
  • Serving as a project manager for major transit projects and leveraging HDR's global expertise to deliver quality work on time, while meeting or exceeding client expectations, is also a key responsibility.
  • You will represent HDR at state and regional level professional organizations.
