Job Overview:

Biosolids Practice Leaders play a pivotal role in developing and implementing business strategies across North America. This position requires collaboration with Wastewater Market Sector leadership and other technical Business Class Directors to advance the biosolids practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies for biosolids management and solids processing, ensuring seamless coordination with regional leaders.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on biosolids market leadership and treatment technologies, fostering strategic partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • Manage project teams and direct billable work on wastewater biosolids consulting assignments, leveraging expertise to deliver exceptional results.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities, developing business plans that drive local HDR office success and contribute to organizational growth.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or related sciences is required.
  • 15+ years of technical experience in wastewater biosolids processing, including thickening/dewatering, digestion, advanced stabilization, and beneficial end use are necessary for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related sciences can be advantageous.
  • Registered Professional Engineer certification is highly valued.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including invoicing, budget control, and staff management, would be beneficial.
  • Experience in client development, proposal content development, and business development strategy can also be an asset.
