Job Title: Head of Product Growth

Mercai is a dynamic startup dedicated to providing access to international raw material suppliers through technology for small and medium-sized manufacturers in Mexico. We are seeking a Head of Product Growth to lead the development and execution of integrated product and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an integrated growth and marketing strategy that leverages both digital and offline channels to enhance Mercai's visibility and user engagement.
  • Ensure alignment between marketing strategies and product enhancements to maximize user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team, including marketing specialists, and external agencies, ensuring cohesive execution across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Oversee brand positioning and messaging strategies, ensuring Mercai is effectively represented in both online and offline B2B spaces.
  • Implement growth experiments, A/B testing, and other optimization techniques to improve conversion rates and user experience.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities for product and marketing initiatives.
  • Build and manage a marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and a high return on investment for campaigns and product growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success) to develop an integrated strategy that aligns product development and marketing efforts with overall business goals.
  • Analyze performance metrics and KPIs across product and marketing initiatives to make data-driven decisions and refine strategies for better outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role combining product growth and marketing responsibilities, preferably in a B2B environment with a track record of leading zero-to-one projects.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing and growth strategies that drive business results both online and offline.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external vendors, with strong leadership skills to inspire collaboration and high performance.
  • Expertise in market research, customer insights, and analytics tools for tracking performance and making data-driven decisions.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
