Property Asset Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring government property is properly identified and tracked from acquisition to disposition.

  1. Manage a safe working environment and prioritize safety above all else.
  2. Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements and goals.
  3. Collaborate with logistics to resolve inventory discrepancies and provide necessary documentation.
  4. Ensure property records are accessible and maintained according to established policies and procedures.
  5. Minimize administrative costs by implementing common processes.
  6. Develop and execute plans for accountable property inventory.
  7. Assess subcontractor property control systems to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  8. Administer physical inventories of government property and collaborate with lower-level staff.
  9. Mentor team members in proper process and procedures related to government property.
  10. Identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
  11. Perform physical inventories of government furnished property and contractor acquired property as directed.
  12. Assign government property identification numbers, prepare schedules, and assist with lost, damaged, or destroyed property.
  13. Track and record movement of government property within the facility or between locations.
  14. Prepare hand receipts and safeguard administrative support files.
  15. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have a background in property management and possess the following skills:

  1. Knowledge of federal regulations and industry best practices.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A bachelor's degree is preferred but can be replaced with additional experience in government property administration.
