Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Senior Property Manager is to ensure the accurate identification, tracking, and management of government property from acquisition to disposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, prioritizing safety protocols at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety requirements and quality assurance goals.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ensure property records are easily accessible and controlled, meeting business needs and customer requirements.
  • Optimize administrative processes to minimize costs.
  • Establish plans for inventorying accountable property, varying frequency and method based on property type and established practices.
  • Verify that subcontract agreements address property management requirements.
  • Assess subcontractor property control systems to ensure accountability in property management.
  • Administer and manage physical inventories of Government Property.
  • Collaborate closely with lower-level Property Staff and Custodians to ensure overall accountability of assets.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-level Property Staff and custodians on proper procedures and processes.
  • Identify problem areas and recommend practical solutions.
  • Conduct thorough physical inventories of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP).
  • Assign Government Property Identification numbers, prepare required schedules, and assist in identifying lost or damaged property.
  • Track and record movement of all types of Government property.
  • Support the preparation and safeguarding of administrative support files.
  • Prepare hand receipts for property custodian/hand receipt holders.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Statement of Work (SOW), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform routine spot checks of site assets.
  • Maintain accurate logs and status records for lost, damaged, or destroyed items.
  • Review LTDD packages for accuracy and completion.
