Electrical Field Services EngineerAbout the Position:

This is a challenging and important role requiring a high degree of technical competence with a corresponding level of self-sufficiency and resourcefulness.

The job involves working independently, sometimes in remote areas, and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission and test HV Generators, Motors, Synchronous condensers, Power management systems, Electrical protection systems, Excitation Controllers, and Synchronising equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on electrical systems.
  • Conduct upgrades to AVRS, PMS systems, Synchronisers, Protection relays, and other control elements.
  • Carry out electrical testing on high and low voltage equipment and machine windings in the field.
  • Deliver training on Brush Power Gen products to clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Alternatively, completed a recognized craft apprenticeship in electrical engineering and demonstrated significant experience gained working in the field.
  • High-level knowledge of electrical power generation and distribution systems.
  • Self-reliant, resourceful, and a problem solver with well-developed commercial awareness.
  • Effective communicator fluent in both spoken and written English.
