Job Opportunity

The Fellow role is a collaborative position that guides Summer Institute participants through their annual social justice projects. As an on-site fellow, you will work closely with the Project Director in capacity building efforts, sustaining community partnerships, and organizing the Faculty Collective Retreat and Summer Institute.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a local and national network of academic and community partners.
  • Mentor summer institute fellows to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Curate a resource list of cutting-edge curriculum and movement issues.
  • Coordinate and facilitate events virtually and in-person.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in community-based research and non-profit work is essential.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Zoom is necessary.
Key Competencies:
  • Familiarity with fields of study within the humanities is beneficial.
  • A demonstrated commitment to black queer communities is crucial.

  • Strong communication and public speaking skills are vital.
  • The ability to facilitate group discussions is essential.
Additional Information:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $40,000-$50,000 per year.
