We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage our Latin America tax accounting operations.

Job Description

As a Tax Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationship and working closely with co-source providers on LATAM income tax provision work. You will review non-US tax provision calculations prepared by these providers, perform scenario planning and ETR calculations based on LATAM tax legislative proposals, and collaborate with Global Tax Accounting and Reporting Senior Director regarding tax accounting issues during major forecast and actual cycles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage relationships with co-source providers and ensure seamless collaboration on LATAM income tax provision work
  • Review and validate non-US tax provision calculations prepared by co-source providers
  • Perform scenario planning and ETR calculations based on LATAM tax legislative proposals
  • Collaborate with Global Tax Accounting and Reporting Senior Director on tax accounting issues during major forecast and actual cycles
  • Maintain close relationships with Controllership, US, and regional tax teams, as well as external auditors, to ensure tax reporting requirements are met
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of tax accounting principles. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in finance/accounting or related business, with at least 3+ years of experience leading teams, coaching, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications:
  • Certified or Chartered Accountant or Tax Professional is required
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in finance/accounting or related business
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience leading teams, coaching, and mentoring staff
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior supervisory experience with a passion for people management/talent development
  • ONESOURCE Tax Provision software experience
  • SAP experience
  • ASC 740 experience
