Job Title: Data Engineering Team Lead

Overview

The Data Engineering team plays a critical role in conducting close-loop data-driven business iterations. As data specialists and engineers, our scope of work is not limited to just performance monitoring and reporting, but also in proactively finding actionable insights to help drive high-impact business changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structure Data Engineering chapter across squads, evangelizing the team members on its practices, processes, and projects;
  • Develop, lead, and implement data engineering projects roadmap partnering with peers and stakeholders to define technical/functional requirements for data solutions;
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing large and complex data sets;
  • Assess, develop, and maintain data solutions across different squads, ensuring assets availability, scalability, and sustainability, leveraging available big data technologies when necessary;
  • Mentor and coach team members on technical skills and best practices for data engineering;
  • Be the bridge between squads and stakeholders and promote alignment for Data Environment Projects and Data Platform Products;
  • Lead the development and implementation of data management and data quality control processes and procedures;
  • Establish frequent alignment with stakeholders on data environment, data platform, data products, and projects, helping to continuously improve it.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
  • Experience in data engineering, data science, or related fields;
  • Experience leading data engineering projects;
  • Strong understanding of data management, data quality control, and data processing technologies;
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Pyspark, or other relevant languages;
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at different levels;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach team members to improve technical skills and best practices.
