Job Summary

As a key member of the Piping & Valve Group, you will provide specialized engineering consultations to support Saudi Aramco and Joint Ventures. Your expertise in piping and pipeline evaluations will ensure effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate standard compliance and design basis for piping and pipelines.
  • Provide technical consultations and operation support.
  • Conduct fitness for services analysis of piping and piping components.
  • Support in standard management for SAES, SAEP, SABP, and 04-SAMSSs related to Piping and Pipelines.
  • Determine pipe design pressure, temperature, material, and diameter.
  • Review maximum span of piping layout and rate different piping components.
  • Perform free span and on-bottom analysis using submarine criteria.
  • Act as a technical advisor providing operational support to Saudi Aramco's organizations.
  • Lead technology evaluation of latest piping system developments.
  • Conduct and review stress analysis and other special studies.
  • Review pipeline integrity programs.
  • Witness local manufacturing activities such as piping component design, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil and Gas.
  • Experienced with initiating and reviewing BOM, PMS, ISS, SIS, PID, and ISO.
  • Knowledge of piping technical specifications, hydrotest diagrams, hot-tapping calculations, approvals, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Aware of piping materials, selection philosophy, and types of connections.
  • Familiar with design codes (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS-SP, AWWA, Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards) and allowable stresses.
  • Competent to read and review hydrotest diagrams, procedures, and code test values.
  • Familiar with stress analysis software and FEA.
  • Experienced with project phases and review cycles of piping and valves.
  • Familiar with material properties and inspection methods (NDEs).
