Collections Expert

Join our company as a Collections Expert and take on a role that requires you to manage collections on outstanding invoices and accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure aging targets are met.

The Collections Expert will work closely with the internal sales and support teams to resolve any outstanding issues in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for researching and coordinating any billing adjustments and credits.

  • Analyze accounts receivable and collection data, identify trends to improve cash collections and reduce aging
  • Responsible for collections of aged receivables for commercial customers
  • Contact customers for status of over-aged invoices
  • Coordinate with AR Manager, Billing Analyst, Program Manager and Contracts to determine appropriate actions for collections; may involve turning over to a collection agency
  • Collaborate with analysts, operations and customers to ensure payments are made within terms
  • Address problems with diverse and varied scope
  • Drive continuous improvements in efficiency, process, and accuracy of operations
  • Interact with customers daily to obtain payment support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with line organizations to ensure positive cash flow
  • Ensure adherence to AR and Cash Flow policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of Accounts Receivable and Collections and/or Billing experience
  • Strong understanding of standard accounting concepts and procedures
  • Oracle or ERP experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office and technology applications experience
  • Strong ethical values
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to process improvements
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
