Job Description

As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies related to health, safety and environment. You will work closely with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, develop and implement control measures, and provide training and support to ensure a safe working environment.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical guidance and advice on health, safety and environmental matters;
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to identify potential hazards and assess risks;
  • Developing and implementing control measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents;
  • Providing training and support to project teams on health, safety and environmental procedures;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on health, safety and environmental performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, science or environmental studies;
  • Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in a similar industry;
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental laws and regulations;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
