Product Quality Specialist

This role involves ensuring the quality and safety of products, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests using approved methods and record results in a data management system.
- Follow GLP, GMP, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage daily lab operations, assist in training new technicians, and maintain product records.
- Track and analyze incoming and outgoing products, including chemical analysis and product approvals.
- Calibrate equipment as needed and support internal audits of quality assurance systems.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain product documentation, including material safety information and certifications.
- Make decisions regarding product disposition and assist in approving packaging and labeling for production use.
- Promote quality across the site and collaborate with Production to investigate and resolve quality issues.
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, expertise in Quality Assurance, and experience in laboratory settings. Familiarity with food quality, testing methodologies, and sensory evaluation is preferred.
A degree in a science-related field is preferred. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn software are also required.
Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
