Microbiologist Application Specialist

This role is a key part of our organization, and we are seeking a skilled Microbiologist Application Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all microbiology platforms and associated ancillaries within the Microbiology and Diagnostics Division. This includes providing product and service information, product updates, and resolving customer issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact current customers quarterly to provide product information, updates, and resolve any customer issues.
  • Generate new sales leads by educating potential customers on our microbiology products.
  • Work with the Service and Sales Team to implement a sales strategy that increases consumable sales.
  • Communicate and develop strong relationships with field sales teams to relay pertinent information regarding current and future customers.
  • Educate and certify distributors, and internal colleagues as needed.
  • Support direct TPAs in the assigned territory to increase sales of instruments in Food, Beverage, Agriculture, Pharma, and Research Markets.
  • Attend local workshops, trade shows, congresses, or seminars according to the needs of the region, and provide seminars and talks to promote our M&D line of products.
  • Adhere to company policies for expense control and meeting expense budgets.
  • Provide monthly lead generations and customer training metrics to the MAS Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of clinical, food, pharma, environmental, or veterinary microbiology laboratories.
  • Proven ability to promote products and services to various prospects and customers and secure sales commitments.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of projects assigned by the management team.
  • Ability to travel on a routine basis and maintain a current Passport/ VISA as required for international travel.
