About the Role

Burckhardt Compression is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and upgrade services on compressors at our Service Center and in the field.
  • Supervise and perform commissioning and start-up of compressors in the field, including acceptance tests.
  • Perform mechanical adjustment services and assembly/disassembly on compressor subsets at the Service Center and in the field.
  • Evaluate customer equipment and installations to identify potential improvements to equipment operation.
  • Report field occurrences and provisions, corrective and/or preventive actions taken and/or suggested through field reports.
  • Protect the company's image by appearing in uniform with appropriate PPE and clean work tools in usable condition.
  • Protect the company's assets made available for use during services.
  • Observe and ensure compliance with health and safety aspects Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS) in services.
  • Provide technical support to other departments of the company.
  • Report incidents related to the environment and occupational health and safety.
  • Keep the workplace organized and clean.
  • Ensure the execution of tasks pre-established in the planning and assembly procedures.
  • Issue equipment data books and reports relevant to maintenance.
  • Issue timesheet reports for services.
  • Perform Troubleshooting routines in compression systems.
Requirements
  • Secondary technical high school in mechanics.
  • 5 years of experience in compressor maintenance and repair.
  • Intermediate English (reading, interpretation, and production of mandatory text).
  • Qualification on BC and OBC reciprocating compressors and compressor valves.
  • Qualification in P&I of compression systems.
  • Conceptual knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
  • Knowledge of the company's integrated management system.
