Senior Project Manager Job Description

As a senior project manager, you will lead tax determination implementations in Brazil, focusing on regulatory compliance and delivery excellence. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of tax determination projects using the Taxrules platform.

The Work You'll Do
  • Manage project planning, execution, and closure to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including solution consultants, regulatory specialists, product specialists, and integration specialists.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, timelines, and escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian tax regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead weekly status meetings, maintain project documentation, and deliver concise progress reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure resource availability and risk mitigation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing tax technology or ERP-related projects in Brazil.
  • Strong understanding of Brazilian tax legislation and its application in automated systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, PMP, etc.).
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
  • Experience with REST API integrations and tax content configuration.
  • Background in consulting or professional services delivery.
  • Knowledge of e-invoicing frameworks (NF-e, NFS-e, CT-e, NFcom) and tax reform impacts.
