About the Role:

Pole To Win International (PTW) is seeking a skilled Videogame Translator to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a Videogame Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating and localizing video game content and other associated texts into Portuguese from English.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate and localize video game content, including game dialogue, UI text, and other associated materials, from English to Portuguese.
  • Work closely with the localization team to ensure maximum linguistic quality and adherence to all relevant conventions.
  • Collaborate with game developers to understand game mechanics and ensure accurate translation.
  • Use CAT tools (memoQ preferable) to manage translation projects and ensure consistency.
  • Meet tight deadlines and work efficiently to deliver high-quality translations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in localization, preferably in videogames.
  • C2 fluency in English and in Portuguese (certification not required).
  • Degree in Linguistics, Translation, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (memoQ preferable).
  • Availability to work on-site (non-remote) from Monday to Fridays.
  • Passion for videogames and geek culture.
