About the Team
The Roku Content Merchandising team is dedicated to helping users discover, acquire, and engage with the vast array of content available on the Roku platform and The Roku Channel. We collaborate closely with various departments, including Content Acquisition, Content Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to create and manage engaging experiences that combine algorithmic machine learning with editorial curation, ensuring users enjoy the best entertainment possible on their Roku devices.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly collaborative and detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for content (FAST & AVOD) to join our Merchandising team as a Content Merchandising Associate. This role requires local market expertise to assist in building, launching, and maintaining complex projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
This position will be based in a major Brazilian city and will report to the International Merchandising Manager. Proficiency in English and Portuguese is essential for this role (working knowledge of Spanish is advantageous).
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Merchandising colleagues and cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Acquisitions, Creative, Analytics, and business teams) to launch and manage FAST channels and VOD content across various Spanish and Portuguese-speaking regions. Oversee daily operations for product portfolios, including content curation from partners and The Roku Channel, as well as documentation workflows and representation in key cross-functional meetings. Develop market strategies that enhance user engagement, foster positive sentiment, and create delightful experiences. Analyze data to inform merchandising strategies. Utilize market expertise and data analysis to guide content and product strategy decisions and operations.Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in media, content curation, programming, editorial strategy, or product strategy. Familiarity with the FAST, Live TV, and VOD media landscape in Brazil and Latin America. Bachelor's degree in film, media, marketing, business, or a related field. Fluency in English and Portuguese (required) with working proficiency in Spanish as a plus. A genuine passion for working with content. Flexibility in work schedule (weekdays and occasional weekends). Experience with content management systems (CMS). Strong project management abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Jira; familiarity with Airtable and Confluence is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation abilities. Capability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance.Benefits
