High Volume Events Manager, Planning

Our team is seeking an experienced High Volume Events Manager to lead the planning and coordination of all High Volume Events (HVE) from a last mile perspective. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge in Excel and experience working with data to solve problems.

The High-Volume Events Manager coordinates peak planning activities across multiple functions to ensure proper synchronization among internal stakeholders and serves as the point of contact to work with Supply Chain, Middle Mile, Engineering and other central functions for peak preparations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Transports Planning and Supply Chain teams to capture and align on peak events volume, understanding and sanity checking assumptions;
  • Calculate operational requirements to operate peak events in the last mile (volume per Delivery station, required number of routes, required labor, required infrastructure, productivity metrics);
  • Publish peak volume plans to key internal stakeholders, capture resource commitments from such teams to evaluate potential capacity gaps, following up on solve plans for such gaps;
  • Serve as single threaded leader for all peak event related topics in last mile, providing information to other teams in a timely and accurate manner, requesting information as needed to ensure maximum visibility of plans internally;
  • Lead war room calls during peak events, coordinate action items and follow-up on critical topics during peaks;
  • Lead documentation of peak plans, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure each section of documents have clear, specific and complete plans. Provide inputs to overall Transportation and Ops peak plan documents;
  • Lead documentation on lessons learned. Ensure effective change in processes, procedures, policies and systems based on such opportunities identified after each peak.

About Our Team:

Our team oversees jurisdiction planning and management, capacity planning, and expansion initiatives to coordinate local efforts on big projects that enable new operations and channels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel;
  • Fluent English;
  • Experience working with data to solve problems;
  • Experience in operations planning (warehouse, transportation);
  • Performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics;
  • Experience driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership;
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization;
  • Basic Knowledge in SQL.
