Who We Are Seeking:
We are looking for a seasoned and enthusiastic NHT/CCR Process Improvement Specialist to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) team within the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD). The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background and a proven history of enhancing NHT and CCR processes. You will leverage your extensive hands-on experience to pinpoint optimization opportunities, formulate data-driven recommendations, and assist clients in achieving maximum operational impact.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; a Master's degree or PhD with a focus on process optimization is preferred.
- 15 years of experience in process engineering, including at least 10 years of direct technical experience in NHT and CCR optimization within a refinery setting, and a minimum of 5 years in a role dedicated to process enhancement.
- Strong foundational knowledge in process engineering principles, including reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass and energy balances, specifically related to NHT and CCR units.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and its application in modeling and optimizing NHT and CCR processes.
- Demonstrated success in applying process optimization methodologies, statistical data analysis, and advanced process control (APC) to achieve measurable improvements in NHT and CCR operations.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proven ability to utilize technical expertise to drive optimization and manage client relationships effectively within the refining sector.
- Willingness to travel for on-site client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough technical evaluations of clients' NHT and CCR units, focusing on identifying optimization opportunities related to yield, efficiency, and product quality.
- Utilize your technical knowledge to translate findings into actionable recommendations, supported by detailed cost-benefit analyses and clear implementation strategies.
- Work closely with clients' process engineering teams, providing technical support for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and ongoing optimization efforts.
- Lead benchmarking initiatives, comparing client performance against industry standards to identify improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Design and deliver specialized technical training programs on NHT/CCR technologies, best practices, and optimization strategies.
- Assist clients in selecting and implementing advanced process simulation tools and optimization techniques for NHT and CCR units.
- Offer expert advice on catalyst management strategies, including performance monitoring, selection, and replacement, based on practical experience.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements, best practices, and technologies in NHT/CCR process optimization, sharing insights with clients to enhance their operations.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying further opportunities for technical collaboration.
