Software Developer for Data Engineering

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our data team. This role involves all aspects of data collection and model training operations.
- Responsibilities include finding new sources of audio data and integrating it into our ingestion pipeline.
- The candidate will operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
- Collaboration with scientists is key to optimizing cost, throughput, and quality to power next-generation models.
- Crafting the dataset roadmap for future products in collaboration with the AI Team and leadership is essential.
Requirements for this position include:
- A degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in software development.
- Proficiency with Bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
- Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, preferably with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP).
- Web crawler and large-scale data processing workflow expertise is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
