Job Title: Transportation Operations Assistant

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless transportation operations, optimizing routes, and streamlining logistics processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Assist in planning and executing delivery and pickup routes to maximize efficiency.
  • Documentation Management: Organize and control transportation documentation such as invoices, cargo manifests, and delivery receipts.
  • Status Updates: Monitor the status of loads and vehicles, keeping stakeholders informed about delivery progress.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as the initial point of contact for drivers, clients, and suppliers, resolving minor issues promptly.
  • System Maintenance: Update and maintain internal transportation management systems (TMS), ensuring data accuracy.
  • Reporting Assistance: Aid in preparing basic performance reports for the transportation area.
  • Fleet Support: Contribute to organization and control of fleet preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure transportation operations adhere to safety standards and current legislation.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A degree in Logistics, Administration, or a related field is desirable.
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics operations is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Candidates must be able to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Proactivity and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial.
