Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to lead our company's efforts in ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering a positive safety culture, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective policies, programs, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • EHS Policy Development: Create and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures that align with corporate standards and local regulations.
  • Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, job safety analyses, and manage EHS audits to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation plans.
  • Root Cause Investigations: Lead investigations into incidents, develop corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • EHS Training: Design and deliver EHS training programs, serving as a subject matter expert on safety, environmental compliance, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of EHS activities and ensure regulatory compliance through regular reporting.
  • KPI Monitoring: Analyze EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and report performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Postgraduate degree or certification in Occupational Safety Engineering or Environmental Management preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in EHS roles, preferably within manufacturing, industrial operations, renewable energy, or construction environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Brazilian and international EHS regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience leading risk assessments, audits, accident investigations, and safety culture initiatives.
