Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Standardized Patient Instructor. This role involves teaching learners various techniques including history-taking, physical examination, communication, and empathy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing step-by-step instructions on these techniques using their body as a teaching tool. All SP work is supervised by the SP Educator, Administrative Manager, Operations Manager, and the Director of Simulation & Clinical Skills.

Work hours will vary depending on course schedules, but SPs are permitted a maximum of 58 hours per pay period and requested to work a minimum of 25 hours per pay period, subject to course needs.

About the Role

This position requires a high level of interaction with learners and must be able to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an academic or healthcare environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The ability to work legally in the US is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
  • Must successfully complete initial training and be scheduled accordingly.
