Financial Institutions Sustainability Specialist

ERM seeks a Financial Institutions Specialist to join their Sustainable Finance team in Brazil. This role will play a leading technical part in delivering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) advice to financial institutions.

The successful candidate will manage workstreams or smaller projects, reporting internally to Team Leaders and Partners and externally to client representatives. They will execute complex technical tasks within client projects, lead meetings and presentations to clients, write technical reports and prepare executive presentations, guide analysts and researchers, and review their deliverables.

This position also requires contributing to the improvement of methodologies and approaches of service offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ESG factors and frameworks for the financial sector, familiarity with financial markets and financial instruments, excellent writing skills in Portuguese, and advanced level of English required, with fluency desired for international projects.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be an advanced user of the MS Office suite, mainly Power Point and Excel, with Power BI and other data visualization software being a plus. An academic background in engineering, business or economic fields, and post-graduation in ESG related disciplines are also highly desirable.

• At least 2 years of experience in a consulting role delivering technical ESG projects to financial institutions, or 4 years of experience in the sustainability or ESG risk function of a financial institution;
• Strong knowledge of ESG factors and ESG frameworks for the financial sector;
• Familiarity with financial markets and financial instruments;
• Excellent writing skills in Portuguese;
• Advanced level of English required, with fluency desired;
• Advanced user of the MS Office suite, mainly Power Point and Excel, with Power BI and other data visualization software being a plus;
• Academic background in engineering, business or economic fields, and post-graduation in ESG related disciplines highly desirable.
