Electrical Substation Design Engineer

The Electrical Substation Design Engineer is a highly specialized professional responsible for the design and construction of high/medium voltage electrical substations.

About This Role:

This role involves ensuring that all work is carried out according to country-specific electrical regulations, as well as covering all required safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting preliminary surveys of the site of substation and electric lines construction.
  • Ensuring that all formalities such as permits and clearances are obtained from government entities.
  • Overseeing the implementation of EHS procedures required in the mentioned construction.
  • Taking part in the substation project planning plan and providing inputs regarding implementation.
  • Ensuring that substation construction activity progresses as per schedule.
  • Reporting to the Project Manager and Consultant Construction Manager regularly with updates on the substation construction work.
  • Communicating with DC construction coordinators to ensure that coordination between DC construction and substation construction are in order.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers.
