Job Title: Senior Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our team at Apex Group. As a key member of our Client Services team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client structured finance entities, ensuring high levels of service delivery and acting as a primary point of contact for operations issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee client deliverables within the portfolio to ensure adherence to corporate service agreements.
  • Ensure high levels of service delivery, including acting as a primary point of contact for operations issue resolution.
  • Act as the internal technical lead for the client portfolio.
  • Work closely with offshore servicing teams to ensure a high-quality and coordinated service is delivered to client relationships.
  • Review periodic management accounts and financial statements to required standards and deadlines.
  • Prepare accounting memos on topics such as going concern, impairment, etc.
  • Liaise with auditors to plan the annual audit and manage the audit query process to ensure timely completion within client and/or statutory deadlines.
  • Prepare periodic tax and compliance returns, including VAT returns, DAC6, CBC, FATCA, CRS.
  • Ensure client compliance with regulatory obligations, including MAR, AML, EMIR.
  • Attend and present at board meetings, drafting related board papers and minutes.
  • Manage the onboarding of new client entities from a client services perspective.
  • Coordinate with the Business Development team to identify and follow up on business opportunities and develop our services.
  • Share information and provide training, guidance, advice, and assistance to other team members as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc project work, including assessing new legislation relevant to client SPVs.
Requirements:
  • Typically 2-3 years industry experience.
  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership of client portfolio.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, relevant local laws, and regulatory requirements is a distinct advantage.
