Job Title: Drilling Operations Manager

Role Overview

The successful candidate will oversee the operational safety, efficiency, and client relations of our drilling unit. They will implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements, providing onboard leadership and direction to meet customer drilling program requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Directly represent the company on board the unit, overseeing overall operation, management, and safety offshore.
  • Supervise and monitor rig positioning, anchor mooring, or preloading during rig movement and placement.
  • Plan and supervise rig activities, ensuring coordination with minimal loss of time or effort.
  • Coordinate with supervisors concerning evolutions affecting vessel ballast and loading.
  • Make decisions regarding equipment utilization, ensuring proper use and minimizing damage.
  • Conduct daily briefs with the Rig Manager and support orders from the Rig Manager during adverse weather conditions or situations involving vessel and personnel safety.
Key Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The USCG MODU OIM License, Unrestricted, Surface Units Underway or Surface Units on Location is preferred.
  • Strong technical background in drilling operations and support equipment is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills are required.
  • Proficient computer skills in office software and company proprietary software are necessary.
  • Experience in marine environmental and hazardous material regulations and procedures is a plus.
  • Experience in offshore marine operations, industrial environment, and drilling operations is desired.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
