The Subcontracts Specialist is responsible for addressing a range of straightforward subcontracts challenges utilizing standard procedures and technical expertise. They apply their conceptual knowledge of subcontracts with moderate guidance to analyze possible solutions, build knowledge of processes and customers, and understand key business drivers.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform and direct subcontracts input into bid proposal activities, including compilation of subcontractor bidding documents, evaluations, and other related information.
- Lead all subcontracts commercial and administrative work within the project.
- Adhere to global procedures outlined in the management system.
- Maintain awareness of the HSE Plan and emergency actions.
- Cooperate in the implementation of the HSE Plan and its application to subcontractors.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met by the subcontractor.
- Identify, evaluate, prepare, and agree to subcontract work scope changes and monitor risks to the project.
- Process changes with the subcontractor as directed.
- Develop and update cost subcontract forecasts for Project Controls Manager.
- Provide input to project weekly/monthly reports.
- Understand and comply with the overall sourcing strategy.
- Act as understudy to senior resources working with subcontract systems.
- Escalate issues to subcontract leadership in a timely manner.
