Strategic Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced strategic procurement specialist to join our team in Rio de Janeiro. As a key member of our operations category, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement strategy and driving process optimization.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategic procurement plans, drive tenders, and negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic procurement plans to ensure efficient process management and long-term contracts within the Equipment and Commodities scope.
  • Preparing and driving tenders, conducting bid evaluations, and negotiating contracts while ensuring compliance with Integrity Due Diligence, Human Rights assessments, Safety, and Commercial Risk policies.
  • Performing market analysis to anticipate challenges and demands in global and local markets.
  • Managing contract performance and adherence to contractual obligations, focusing on minimizing value leakage, risk, and promoting safety.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on contract matters related to the Operations category.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, focusing on sourcing processes, negotiations, contract establishment, and managing supplier performance and relations for Equipment and Commodities scope.
  • Experience with Mechanical & Rotating Equipment, Cranes & Lifting, Telecommunications, Electro and Automation, HSE, Chemicals, Commodities, and Valves is required.
  • Good awareness of the Brazil supplier market and understanding of establishing and promoting local content.
  • Advanced skills in English and Portuguese language.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
