Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Perinatal Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk obstetric imaging and be passionate about delivering exceptional prenatal care.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that offers a 4-day work week to promote work-life balance without compromising patient care. The Perinatal Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will participate in the care of patients under the direct supervision of Physicians and collaborate with the healthcare team to perform fetal examinations, assist in invasive procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort during ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various fetal examinations and assist in invasive procedures
  • Report results of sonographic examinations and ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Conduct daily operations of the sonographic laboratory and maintain equipment
  • Assume responsibility for adherence to relevant privacy policies and procedures
  • Provide compassionate patient care and support
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine physicians, genetic counselors, nurses, and referring providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in continuing education and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent educational background
  • Current registration (or Registry-eligible) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Prefer one-year prior OB experience or recent internship in obstetrics or MFM clinic
  • Associates degree preferred, new graduates welcome to apply
