Job Description
The role of the Data Insights Specialist is to provide high-quality data sets and develop analytics solutions that enable business decision-making. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and designing data models that meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models considering performance, cost, and security constraints.
- Develop, test, and implement backend and front-end structures to meet visualization and reporting needs.
- Implement and refine data transformation pipelines to extract, transform, and load features for reporting and machine learning experiments, ensuring documentation and adherence to continuous integration and continuous deployment practices in version control systems.
- Curate structured datasets with regular refreshes, verify record completeness, update metadata, and track dataset health metrics, escalating issues as needed.
- Develop and integrate data-quality handling guidelines into pipelines and workflows. Operate anomaly detection dashboards, escalate issues, and collaborate on remediation strategies.
- Build, train, and evaluate proof-of-concept models using Python libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow. Perform feature selection, hyperparameter tuning, and metric analysis under mentorship, and collaborate on prototype refinement.
- Coordinate with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to align with change management and ensure optimal performance, processes, and access for global reporting.
- Comply with all privacy and data security policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong foundation in data analysis and programming, including experience with Python and data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy. You should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
