Procurement Strategist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet organizational needs while ensuring cost-efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with procurement policies.

  • Support defining short, middle, and long-term commercial strategies for our operations across the region.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and suppliers to develop and implement category strategies to drive alignment and ensure quality of services and improved Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) value to the business on a sustainable basis.
  • Drive effective and data-driven supplier negotiations based on internal, external benchmarking data, market trends, and supplier price models to support above category strategy execution to meet business objectives for the category.
  • Independently and proactively identify areas of opportunity for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and handle annual budgets and monthly forecasts for cash flow, purchase price variance, and other financial metrics for the assigned categories.
  • Effectively manage spend across various categories in close collaboration with the main stakeholders in the GCC (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar), international markets; and Global procurement team.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, indirect procurement, and/or supply chain management in the industry. Proficiency in English is required, and Arabic is preferable but not mandatory. The candidate should possess excellent negotiation, contract management, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of procurement software and systems, including SAP, ARIBA, and COUPA.
