Global Trade Compliance Expert

The role of the Global Trade Compliance Expert involves overseeing compliance with customs, sanctions, and export control regulations.

This position provides hands-on support in trade-related issues, guidance in compliance improvement initiatives, duty optimization, and pursuit of strategic trade objectives.

As the main point of contact for all trade compliance-related questions, this position is responsible for managing Customs Broker/Agent relationships and developing KPIs on customs clearances.

Key responsibilities include identifying high-risk areas, developing and implementing corrective actions/procedures, and implementing the global trade compliance program for Brazil locations.

Qualifications:
  • Academic Degree in Foreign Trade, Finance, Logistics, or Business Administration
  • Necessary Knowledge with Brazilian Import and Export Regulations - Level expert
  • Advanced English
  • SAP, Trade Compliance systems, office tools, Databases

This role requires a deep understanding of international trade regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in trade compliance and a strong ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities may also include conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, and providing training and guidance to colleagues on trade compliance matters.

Additionally, this role will involve staying up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and ensuring that the organization's trade compliance program remains compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
