Accounting Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our team of bookkeepers. This is a high-ownership role that requires expertise in QuickBooks, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote environment.

The ideal candidate will oversee daily deliverables, perform quality control, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex client queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coach 2–3 bookkeepers while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Perform regular quality reviews and coach staff on bookkeeping best practices, including client-specific standards.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client queries and support clients directly during transitions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping / accounting experience (U.S. or Canadian clients preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience managing accounting or bookkeeping teams.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (desktop knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience using Asana, Slack, Zoom, and G Suite tools.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax systems and reconciliation processes is a major plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and problem-solve autonomously.
  • Strong understanding of remote work environments and digital workflows.
