We're seeking a dedicated professional to lead our nursing development and practice initiatives, focusing on person-centered care approaches that drive quality outcomes. As a Nursing Practice and Education Director, you'll be responsible for advancing our centralized system for nursing development and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical educational programs that support specialty practice, chronic illness management, and overall clinical excellence.
- Manage and evaluate the competency assessment process for clinical staff, ensuring they meet high standards of care.
- Serve as a collaborative partner to nurse educators, stakeholders, and division leaders, fostering a culture of open communication and shared goals.
- Lead communication meetings and create a community of practice network to disseminate information and engage stakeholders in driving innovation and quality improvement.
- Assist in nursing professional role development, continuous learning, and employee engagement, promoting a positive work environment.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current registered nurse - RN license.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area is strongly preferred.
- Three years of full-time equivalent nursing experience, including two years in long-term/skilled post-acute care and at least one year in education.
