The Market Risk Analyst is a critical role that involves assessing and managing various types of risk inherent in the trading desks or activities within the direct scope of the RISK analyst. This includes market and liquidity risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and Monitor: Develop and implement monitoring tools to track and analyze market and liquidity risks.
- Risk Analysis: Provide formal risk opinions, issue risk recommendations, and propose mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
- Risk Limits: Assist in defining, reviewing, and implementing limits to ensure they are well-monitored and reported.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess complex risk scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey risk information to stakeholders.
- Proven experience in risk analysis and management, preferably in a financial services industry context.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business leaders and other functions.
