About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Mixed Reality Game Designer to join our team at Amber Studio. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for creating engaging game mechanics, systems, and levels for mixed reality games using cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create immersive game experiences that captivate players and exceed their expectations.
  • Design and develop game mechanics, systems, and levels that are both fun and challenging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of game features and functionality.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the gaming industry.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of game engines, such as Unity and Unreal Engine, to ensure efficient and effective game development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in game design, with a focus on VR/AR or innovation.
  • Proficiency in Unity engine, Unreal engine, or comparable game engines.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of games and experiences.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of Agile development and milestone-based projects.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary teams across the world.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and software (e.g., Sketch, Figma) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in XR development is a plus.
  • Experience with virtual reality prototyping tools, such as Shapes XR, is a plus.
