The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing an acute care hospital practice and be committed to the evolving specialty of hospital medicine.
Our team provides 24-hr coverage, including 10 hour daytime shifts, 8 hour evening admission shifts, and 9 hour rotating overnight call shifts. The average patient census is 58, with four hospitalists covering each day and one during the evening hours.
Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) and possess either Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) credentials or equivalent certification. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. Prior hospitalist experience is strongly recommended.
