Acute Care Physician Opportunity

The Delta Hospital acute care physician program provides 24-hour coverage for complex medical patients. As a qualified and experienced physician, you will work collaboratively with the inter-professional team to develop an effective acute care hospital practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admission and management of acute medical patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP)
  • Superior clinical skills, along with exceptional bedside manner
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • CCFP (or equivalent) credentials
  • Certification in ACLS preferred

Work Arrangement:

  • Full-time: 14 days per month, or 1680 hours per year
  • Part-time: Approximately 50% of full-time hours
  • Locum coverage: Experienced physicians available to pick up shifts
