We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic professional to fill the role of Cross-Border Financial Risk Manager. As a key member of our risk management team, you will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and provide support and second-line risk management advice and oversight to our entity and other countries in the Latin America region.


Your Mission
  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to financial risks on a daily basis.
  • Build and maintain financial risk indicators, reports, and policies, including FX exposure, FX Value-at-Risk (VAR), intraday exposure, liquidity buffer, Loss Coverage Ratio (LCR), Basel Index, and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA).
  • Develop automated and robust processes for risk monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare prudential and regulatory reports for countries in the LatAm region related to financial risks.
  • Implement short- and long-term stress testing, including wind-down plans and prudential forecasts.
  • Define and implement metrics for evaluating and controlling financial risks, aligned with group methodology.
  • Provide training for employees on financial risk management and develop a form of management that raises the level of risk and control mindset.
  • Work closely with the first line of defense, supporting projects for new products and markets.
  • Evaluate and ensure the current risk profile is consistent with the defined risk appetite.
  • Raise awareness of risks to the company and prepare presentations for local and group risk committees.

You Will Be Successful If:
  • You have a background in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics, with previous experience in FinTechs and Financial Institutions.
  • You have experience working with financial risk requirements under Basel III/IV.
  • You possess advanced knowledge of Excel (macro and VBA) and Python programming.
  • You have experience working with financial risk regulatory requirements and fluent in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills.
  • You have quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to understand new analytical concepts and analyze data to extract patterns and trends.
  • You can create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
