Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled accountant to join our team in Rio de Janeiro.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, complying with local GAAP and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading closing activities, verifying payments to suppliers and managing cash flow.
  • Reviewing transactions to ensure accounting treatment is in accordance with IFRS and internal regulations.
  • Preparing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets entries by compiling and analysing account information.
  • Posting payroll entries and reconciling social charges, bonus accruals, and pay-outs.
  • Analysing company expenditures and producing accurate accounting reports.
  • Participating in financial standards setting and forecast process, assisting with tax audits and returns.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) as accounting supervisor and/or senior accountant.
  • Experience in an international environment, preferably with a financial ERP model (e.g. SAP).
  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • Focus on accuracy and timeliness, attention to detail.
