Job Title:
Administrative LeaderThe Office of Student Affairs seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Administrative Leader. As a key member of the administrative leadership team, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving student success and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards related to student affairs, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee college processes around current ACPE standards, implementing and publishing updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Act as an advocate for all students in college-wide matters, maintaining an open-door policy and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Serve as liaison between OSA and other units on campus, facilitating communication and collaboration to drive student success.
- Drive enrollment and recruitment processes, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
- Oversee admissions, recruitment, and enrollment processes, ensuring seamless transitions from one stage to the next.
- Monitor student feedback on resources and support for academic progression, including financial aid, counseling, advising, professional programs, and registration.
- Provide recommendations to relevant parties regarding needed resources and support, collaborating with colleagues to drive positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Dean for Academic Affairs to run periodic meetings with class officers, promoting student engagement and participation.
- Organize and oversee co-curricular programs at the College, including advisor-student meetings and other initiatives that promote student growth and development.
- Liaise with Student Health Services to ensure compliance with requirements and policies, prioritizing student health and well-being.
- Coordinate with Assessment to track student-related data, informing strategic decisions and improving student outcomes.
- Attend meetings as Ex Officio with various committees, providing expert input and guidance to drive student success.
- Update policies and processes to align with current practices and campus procedures, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption.
- Lead efforts to increase participation in Career Fair Days and events, promoting student engagement and career readiness.
- Provide oversight for COP-sanctioned student organizations and PILs activities, ensuring alignment with College values and goals.
- Orient faculty to College policies related to student affairs matters, promoting a culture of understanding and respect.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with the Office of Student Affairs annual report for the Dean, ensuring timely submission and accurate representation.
- Participate as an active member of the College's administrative leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
- Supervise and evaluate the activities and performance of support staff for OSA, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed.
- Chair the OSA weekly meeting and provide workshops as necessary, promoting ongoing learning and professional growth.
- Coordinate and participate in end-of-the-year retreats for OSA, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Serve as advisor and provide oversight for COP Student Council activities, promoting student leadership and engagement.
- Supervise the activities and events organized by the Office of Student Affairs, ensuring alignment with College values and goals.
Requirements:
- Education: PharmD degree strongly preferred, or PhD or EdD in education, administration, or a healthcare-related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in higher education for health sciences, with a proven track record of driving student success.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and experience building strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to craft compelling narratives and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment, with experience building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving, research, and analytical skills, with ability to collect and analyze data to inform strategic decisions.
- Background in FERPA, Title IX, and accreditation standards (i.e., ACPE), with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
