The primary role of the Tax Manager is to oversee all tax-related decisions and activities within an organization, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the computation and filing of monthly taxes, including IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, ICMS, IPI, and ISS as applicable.
- Prepare and transmit financial statements, e-invoices, and other tax-related documents via government portals.
- Monitor and reconcile tax codes, calculate payroll taxes, and ensure timely filings for eSocial and RAIS.
- Represent the organization before tax authorities, manage audits, and provide advice on tax matters.
- Maintain complete bookkeeping in accordance with Brazilian GAAP (CPC) and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Generate year-end statutory financial statements ready for external auditor review.
- Implement or optimize cloud accounting packages to automate recurring tasks and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; active registration with CRC.
- 4+ years of experience preparing full-cycle statutory accounts and tax returns for Brazilian SMEs.
- Deep knowledge of tax regimes, SPED suites, and local cloud-accounting systems.
- Fluent Portuguese; conversational English preferred.
