Hardware Engineering Technician Intern

As a key member of our team, you will assist in carrying out calibration tests and corrective maintenance of equipment under the supervision of an experienced technician. Your tasks will include assisting in the organization and standardization of operational processes, controlling stock levels, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out calibration tests and corrective maintenance on equipment
  • Assist in organizing and standardizing operational processes
  • Control stock levels of plates and parts used in equipment maintenance
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and assist in training new technicians

You will also be involved in supporting activities developed in the department, including repair or conversion of products. Additionally, you will suggest improvements and optimizations of processes, tests, repairs, and conversions realized in the Product Hospital.

To succeed in this role, you will need to follow work instructions and internal procedures for task development. You will also be required to perform other tasks related to those described above, according to the needs of the company or at the discretion of your immediate superior.

In addition, you will be expected to understand and adhere to SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Electrical courses/Electronics Technician/Electronics
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of calibration tools and electrical equipment
  • Knowledge in electrical, electronic and mechanical materials
  • Time management
