Global Trade Specialist Role

This position plays a pivotal role in optimizing trade processes and ensuring the efficient movement of goods and shipments. Your work will have a significant impact on the timely delivery of vital products, including medicines and other essential items.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to tenders and RFQs, working closely with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end pricing.
  • Developing relationships with carriers to achieve optimal rates, allocation, and service.
  • Providing product and market expertise to customers, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Negotiating and maintaining competitive rates across various segments.
  • Monitoring local charges and establishing country-specific rates with carriers for named account requests.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding country needs and negotiating specific requirements with target carriers.
  • Maintaining relations with global sea freight carriers in key regions.
  • Addressing and initiating solutions for issues like space or equipment constraints.
  • Gathering updated rate information from ocean carriers and setting targets with them.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Senior experience in trade management, commercial operations, and pricing.
  • Knowledge of dry cargo and LCL is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
