Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating risks associated with construction and equipment installation across various sectors. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting underwriting assessments for both large and medium-sized risks, while also fostering strong relationships with brokers and clients in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate risks and their exposures to ascertain the quality level of the risk, including analyzing potential maximum probable loss scenarios;
- Review underlying insurance documentation;
- Engage in the development and management of open covers for Construction All Risks (CAR) and Equipment All Risks (EAR);
- Prepare referral submissions in accordance with internal underwriting authority guidelines;
- Cultivate and maintain a network of professional connections to position Swiss Re as the preferred partner in Engineering, ensuring a steady flow of submissions with a high success rate;
- Share and maintain market intelligence with colleagues.

You will be joining the Engineering Underwriting team, a collaborative group dedicated to continuous knowledge development, aiming to establish a leadership role in market solutions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills and communicates effectively. You are enthusiastic about new ideas and eager to explore diverse experiences and opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in the insurance sector, specifically as an Engineering Underwriter.
- Familiarity with Engineering insurance terminology.
- Proficient in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, insurance wording, and Power BI.
- Ability to meet commitments and deliverables to clients and partners.
