Financial Planning Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting senior business partners by providing actionable insights and handling ad-hoc requests. They will also assist in completing annual budget/strategy planning and quarterly forecasts for business units, ensuring timely completion and supporting efforts.

The role involves performing month-end close duties, including analyzing operational metrics, interpreting financial statements/business drivers, reclassifying expenses, and collaborating with the General Ledger team. Additionally, they will interpret variances to budget, forecast, and prior year, and drive continuous improvement of analyses and processes to support the business.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience. Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business trends from financial data, and translate operations into numbers are essential.

Apart from these qualifications, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, independent, performance-driven, hardworking, and smart. Good communication skills and experience with Oracle, Power BI, and Salesforce are also desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior business partners by providing business insights and handling ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist in completing annual budget/strategy planning and quarterly forecasts for business units.
  • Perform month-end close duties, including analyzing operational metrics and interpreting financial statements/business drivers.
  • Interpret variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Drive continuous improvement of analyses and processes to support the business.
  • Dive into details to understand complex business problems from various data sources and in multiple currencies.
  • Collaborate to establish common global KPIs.
  • Develop business cases for initiatives driven by the global business unit or function.
  • Follow established finance processes within the organization.
