Member Events Coordinator

The Member Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative events that inspire members, cross-pollinate the community, and tell authentic stories about a city.

This position requires an organized storyteller with a finger on the pulse of cultural trends, possessing talent and innovation that engages members, guests, and staff.

About the Job

Lead the event programming and vibe of the property, telling hyper-local stories about the neighborhood and its creatives.

Propose trends, technology, and leading innovations for new event formats (including digital) and collaborate with the team on themes and installations for big events.

Inspire members, talent, and all Soho House teams when meeting to create and implement events.

Share contacts and ideas, and collaborate with all departments on the setup and creation.

Build and create a diverse database of talent, collaborators, and experiences ensuring the House calendar captures the current cultural zeitgeist.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conceptualize and produce creative, varied, and well-executed member events.
  2. Develop systems to track bookings and forward lead the event programming and vibe of the property.
  3. Collaborate with the team on themes and installations for large events.
  4. Comply with deadlines and budgets to ensure business goals are met.
Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • 3+ years of cultural event programming or cultural event production experience.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Creatively driven and culturally in-tune to develop/foster a network and knowledge to execute events.
  • Collaborative and communicative, providing direction and delegating as required.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and execute under pressure in a demanding fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule including long hours and regular evening event coverage.
  • Hospitality or music experience is a plus.
