Executive Leadership Role

This strategic transactions position is responsible for leading and directing complex real estate deals from inception to completion for the capital assets portfolio. The incumbent will oversee a diverse portfolio, collaborating with stakeholders to drive key objectives and optimize financial and mission-oriented performance of real estate transactions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills, effectively managing through stressful situations and making informed decisions. A team player who fosters a collaborative environment that promotes leadership development, integrity, and service responsiveness.

SUPPLEMENTARY ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Executive Director will provide direction and guidance in strategic transaction management within the REDCAM portfolio, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The role involves regular interactions with executives, administrators, faculty, students, and staff across the university. External contacts include consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, community groups, and other educational institutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute strategies for long-term needs and uses of the university's real property assets, including acquisitions, development, leasing, and disposal.
  • Source and identify direct investment opportunities and joint venture/equity partners, negotiating Letters of Intent and Term Sheets.
  • Coordinate pre-transaction analysis, due diligence, and financial modeling to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Presents transaction analysis to Senior Administration and the Board of Trustees on structure, economics, mission benefits, progress, and other relevant matters.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate markets and trends.
  • Ability to conduct complex structuring, including joint ventures, development, and debt instruments.
  • Advanced analytical skills in evaluating real estate transactions.
  • Effective project management and pipeline management capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain harmonious work relationships with various stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A Master's Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or 15 years of experience in lieu of educational qualifications. Demonstrated experience as a management executive in real estate transactions.
